Third International Teachers

The Third International Teachers’ Conference, aimed at sharing experiences and developing the education sector, is under way at Maldives National University in Malé .

The conference was inaugurated by Attorney General Mohamed Anil.

The theme of the conference, which will be concluded tomorrow, is Technology Enabled Learning.

It is organised by the National Institute of Education in collaboration with a Malaysian university, and will be attended by 30 representatives from India, Bhutan, UK, Nepal, Pakistan, Oman, and Mauritius.

Papers will be presented by the foreign representatives, as well as the 200 local representatives participating in the conference.

In addition to Technology Enabled Learning, discussions will also be held on the government’s policy on inclusiveness, or ensuring no child is left behind in the education system.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Anil said that the conference would help understand new ideas on strengthening the education system.
