A model made to build a fire boat has been set on fire in R. Inguraidhoo.
The Vice President of the Inguraidhoo Island Council, Abdulla Abdul Rahman told Sun Media today that the fire on the model for a fire boat at the island’s industrial zone was noticed around 6:30 p.m. yesterday.
He said that it is very likely that the model was intentionally set on fire by person or a group of people.
“Most likely it was set on fire. Because six months ago, the same place was set on fire.” Abdul Rahman said.
He said that the fire was set to a model made by someone who has been building fire boats in the island for a long time.
There were six fiber boats being built in the workshop next to the place where the fire broke out but the fire was controlled by the Police and the public before it could spread.
Police Media Official told Sun Media today that the fire is being investigated.
“We are investigating that case. There have been no arrests made so far.” The Police Media Official said.
