HDC donates a fire truck to MNDF

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has donated a fire truck to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) today.

At a special ceremony held at the HDC Building in Hulhumalé, the fire truck was presented to MNDF by the Managing Director of HDC, Mohamed Saiman to the Chief of Defence Force, Major General Ahmed Siyam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Siyam expressed his gratitude to the senior management and all the staff of HDC for the donation of the fire truck.

Major General Siyam said that up to this point, there have been dangerous fire incidents in Hulhumalé as well. And the fire truck received today would be used ensure the safety and security of the people living in Hulhumalé and the vehicles received such as this would be used to it’s potential by the MNDF.

Managing Director of HDC, Saiman said that during the Hulhumalé Development so far, the fire trucks from the airport have been providing fire safety to the city.

He said that with this vehicle in the hands of MNDF, the service would be in Hulhumalé assuring the safety and security.

And Saiman said that they intend to do more things like this under the CRS budget.
