Applications open for CSC membership

Parliament has opened the application for the vacant position on the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

A statement from the Parliament today said that the application for CSC membership would be opened until 5 p.m. on 24 August starting today.

The statement said that the application forms can be submitted between 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 24 August.

Former President of the CSC, Dr. Mohamed Latheef was moved to the position of Chancellor at the National University. And the other two vacant positions were filled yesterday leaving one spot remaining.

President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom assigned Dr. Ali Shameem and Zakariya Hussain yesterday to two vacant positions on the CSC. Dr. Shameem is a former member of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).
