Certificates have been awarded to 84 participants of the two workshops targeted to the teachers of Key Stage 1.
The closing ceremony for the workshops held by the National Institute of Education (NIE) was held tonight at Imaduddin School.
NIE said that the first workshop of the two with the teachers of 13 schools of Malé was conducted from 26 – 28 March. And the second workshop was from 29 – 30 July.
The NIE said that the purpose of the workshops that extended to a total of 15 hours of information and practical training was to teach the importance of creating a suitable academic environment for the new syllabus that began this year and the importance of action research.
They said that the designing and execution of an action research was taught in the workshops along with the data gathering and analysis.
Speaking at the ceremony tonight, the State Minister of the Education Ministry, Adam Shareef said that when teaching under the new syllabus, teachers must teach their student things that can be important in the society. And use the experience gained to educate the students.
