Investigations begin on the suspected plane parts being found in the atolls

Civil Aviation Authority has started investigating the suspected plane parts being washed ashore on some islands in the Maldives.

The Aviation Authority confirmed their investigations saying that since they have been receiving such reports, they have started investigating.

And so along with the Police and the Accident Investigation Coordination Committee, the Civil Aviation Authority has started investigations. They said that they are going to the islands where the suspected plane debris are being found and claiming the debris and looking after them.

The Civil Aviation Authority said that since the search is ongoing in the Indian Ocean for the missing Malaysian Airline flight MH370 and the debris being found in the Maldives could be plane debris, they are being treated as “objects of interest.” And that they have informed Malaysian Airlines that news about this debris would be shared with them. Civil Aviation Authority has pledged full cooperation in the investigation of MH370.

The Aviation Authority added that they have shared the reports of the suspected plane debris found washed ashore with the Malaysian Civil Aviation Authority. And they are conducting under instruction from the Malaysian officials.

While the Civil Aviation Authority has started investigations on the debris being washed ashore in the Maldives, what is suspected to be part of a wing of a plane in the ocean for over a year was discovered at Banyan Tree resort in the Maldives.

But a source working in construction has said that what is being washed ashore in some islands are “wall panels.”
