Suspect plane parts found in Vabbinfaru to be sent to Malaysia

Sun Online has been informed that objects thought to be parts of a plane found in Kaafu Atoll Vabbinfaru – Banyan Tree Resort is to be sent to Malaysia for investigation.

Objects that looked like parts of a plane washed up on shore of Vabbinfaru within days of objects that are now confirmed to be parts of flight MH370 – which disappeared on March 8, 2014 en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur.

However, some of the objects had been sent to Thilafushi for disposal while the only object that remains is a 5-7 inch object that appears to be part of the wing.

A team of police officers went to Vabbinfaru on Friday and started their investigatin.

A government official who spoke to Sun Online that the objects were to be sent to Malaysia. And that police were working on finding the objects that had been sent to Thilafushi for disposal.

An official from Banyan Tree Resort who spoke to Sun Online said that they did not know whether the objects had been disposed of or not.

A total of 239 people were on board the plane when it went missing – about an hour after it took off.
