VP meets Malta President

Maldivian Vice President Ahmed Adeeb during his state visit to Malta, paid a visit to Malta President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and handed over a letter sent to her by Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen.

VP Adeeb went to Malta after concluding his state visit to Egypt to attend the opening ceremony of the new Suez Canal.

His visit to Egypt and Malta counts as his first and second state visit to a foreign country after he was appointed by President Yameen to replace former VP Mohamed Jameel.

During his stay in Egypt, VP Adeeb visited many of the famous historical spots and economic hubs in the country, and even visited Maldivians studying in Egypt. He asked after their wellbeing and provided assurances government was committed to the betterment of students studying in Egypt. He also asked their opinions on various government policies.

He was seen off at Cairo International Airport by Minister of Technical Education and Training, Mohamed Yoosuf.
