Malaysia asks Maldives for help in finding MH370

Malaysia has appealed for help in finding lost airplane MH370 from Maldives, Mauritius and Madagascar.

Malaysian newspaper – “The Star Online” reported on Sunday that Malaysian Transport Ministry appealed for help from the three countries after French government started surveying the area around Reunion Islands for parts of the missing plane.

The newspaper quoted Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai saying that the first concrete evidence that MH370 fell into the ocean – which is the flaperon that was found in

Reunion – had renewed hope that the plan would be found.

“MH370 going missing is still shrouded in mystery. We still want for other parts to be found. More data, more information,” said Liow Tiong Lai.

MH370 went missing on March 8, 2014 en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur. A total of 239 people were on board the plane when it went missing.
