Indian Cultural Center (ICC) established in Maldives held a colorful ceremony to celebrate its four year anniversary.
The ceremony was held in Olympus Friday night and those in attendance were entertained by music and dance numbers.
Speaking during the ceremony, Deputy Education Minister and Head of Department of Heritage, Yumna Maumoon noted that ICC, during the past four years had taught various Indian cultural activities to Maldivians free of charge.
She noted the “tabla” classes, yoga classes, and dance classes conducted by ICC free of charge.
ICC, run under Indian High Commission in Maldives was established in July, 2011 as a means of strengthening cultural relations between India and Maldives.
