Man seriously injured after fall from roof

An elderly man from Laamu Atoll Funadhoo fell off the roof on Saturday, sustaining serious injuries.

Sun Online correspondent Ali Vafir reported that Laamu Atoll Gan Regional Hospital had said the elderly man sustained serious injuries to his brain.

“The man is over 60. He slipped and fell today morning while on the roof of his home. From what Gan Hospital doctors examined, he sustained serious injuries to his head – brain. Given the critical condition he is in, he has been sent to Male’ for treatment on a Maldivian flight,” said Vafir.

Sun has been unable to find out any more details regarding the identity of the man.
