President Yamin has sent a letter to the Indian Prime Minister

President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom has sent a letter to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

The Maldivian Foreign Secretary, Dr. Ali Naseer currently visiting India has passed the President’s letter to the Indian Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj.

Foreign Ministry said that in a visit to the Indian Foreign Minister, the Maldivian Foreign Secretary discussed strengthening relationship of the two countries.

The Maldivian Foreign Secretary also met with the Indian Foreign Secretary, S. Jaishankar and discussed economic ties of the two countries.

The Indian Foreign Secretary also hosted a special lunch in the honor of the Maldivian Foreign Secretary, Dr. Ali Naseer.

While Dr. Naseer visits India, the Indian Foreign Secretary, S. Jaishankar visited the Maldives last Monday. He ended his visit after meeting with the Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Gafoor and the Foreign Minister, Dhunyaa Maumoon.
