Nepalese expatriate in Feydhoo converts to Islam after Friday prayers

A Nepalese expatriate in Feydhoo, Mahesh, living in Feydhoo, Addu City has converted to Islam after the Friday prayers today.

He is an employee at a travel agency in Feydhoo. After the Friday prayers, his conversion to Islam was guided by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Baaree.

After the Shahaadhah (the declaration of faith), the Islamic Minister translated the meaning of the declaration in English to him and advised and gave information about the religion.

Nurul Islam, an organization that works to inspire religious movement in Addu City gifted the 28-year-old Mahesh with books about the religion.

Mayor of Addu City, Abdulla Soadiq told Sun Media that after this conversion to Islam, his name has been changed from Mahesh to “Mikail”.

After his conversion, the people who prayed at the mosque congratulated him.
