Adhaalath: Intelligence reports are now being used to wrongfully take steps against people

Adhaalath Party has said that as of late, intelligence reports are being used to as means to wrongfully take steps against people.

Speaking at a press conference at the Office of Adhaalath Party, the Party’s Spokesperson, Ali Zaahir said that intelligence reports have become a tool to wrongfully imprison and take steps against people.

He said that at the bottom of the intelligence reports, it says that the content cannot be used in court.

“When we see how an intelligence report is to be used, I want to note that it says that at the bottom of the report, it says that the report cannot be used in the judiciary phase or in such trial.” Spokesperson of Adhaalath Party, Ali Zaahir said.

The President of Adhaalath Party, Sheikh Imran Abdulla was moved backed to prison from house arrest based on an intelligence report.

Sheikh Imran was moved to back to prison after moving him to house arrest. He was in Police custody since 2 June.
