Drones prohibited at security zones secured for Independence Day

Police have prohibited the use of drones for pictures and videos at the security zones that would be secured for the 50th anniversary of Maldivian independence.

Police Media Official said that drones are prohibited for it may hinder at securing the zones that would be closed off.

A special permit from the Police would also be required to use drones in those areas according to the Police.

“We notify everyone that a special permit is to be acquired if a drone is to be used at a security zone.” Police said.
