President: Eid is an occasion of helping those in need

President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom has said that Eid is an occasion to remember and help out those in need among our brothers and sisters.

As tomorrow is Eid al-Fitr, the President’s Eid message said that tomorrow is a day of expressing kindness.

“The day of Fitr Eid is a day of celebration. A day of gratitude. And, Eid is a day of expressing kindness. And the occasion of Eid is an occasion of remembering and helping those in need among out brothers and sisters. And strengthen our family bonds, the love among the members of the family, meet our friends and express our kindness is something we have to do on such an occasion.” The President’s message said.

The President said that on this opportunity, we should remember that Fitr Eid is joined to a season of valuing and growing our faith and repentance. And that this is an opportunity to correct ourselves and the society.

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the President sent the greetings of the occasion to the people of the Maldives, the people and the leaders of Islamic countries and international Islamic groups and institutes.
