Kevin 07 creator Neil Lawrence dies while on holiday in Maldives

Neil Lawrence, the mastermind behind the slogan “Kevin 07” for Kevin Rudd's successful election campaign in 2007, has died while on holiday in the Maldives.

Lawrence, 61, is reported to have died on Tuesday afternoon while on a surfing holiday with his son.

The resort he stayed at and his location at the time of his death remain unclear.

In addition to being one of the best campaign ad creators in Australia, Lawrence was also a popular panelist on the ABC TV show Gruen Nation.
