Met office has said that the current rainy weather is expected to continue for the next 24 hours across the country.
Different parts of the country including Malé have been experiencing heavy rain since this morning.
The Met office said that the rain is expected from H.A. Atoll to L. Atoll for the next 24 hours.
“Areas of the mid-northern part of the country would experience rain. And some islands would have thunderstorms. The southern atolls would also be affected.” Met office said.
Winds up to 15 m/h from the southeast are expected in the far north atolls while other atolls are to expect winds from southwest up to 15 m/h according to the Met office.
And winds are expected to pick up upto 35 m/h during showers.
The seas would be moderately calm in the southern atolls and the seas would be moderately rough in the rest of the parts.
