Half a million Rufiyaa stolen from the F. Nilandhoo Council safe

MVR 500,000 has been stolen after breaking into the safe at the F. Nilandhoo Council.

President of the Nilandhoo Council, Ahmed Ali told Sun Media that they are not sure exactly when the safe was broken into but it was done sometime last night.

Council President, Ahmed Ali said that there was a lot of money in the safe. But it is difficult to say exactly how much.

“The exact amount is difficulty to say. The exact amount would be clear after looking at the accounts. We still don’t know who did it. And there are no suspects either.” President Ahmed said.

He said that the Police was notified immediately and are currently investigating.
