Rilwan

The family of the Minivan News journalist Ahmed Rilwan who went missing a year ago has decided to host a rally on the day he disappeared.

Speaking at the press conference held by the family at the Hulhumalé ferry terminal today, his brother, Moosa Rilwan said that 8 August is the day his brother went missing and they would take to the streets once again on that day.

“We’ll take this to the streets again on August 8. We’ll raise our voices. The only thing we can do is refuse, find what happened to Rilwan, find him quickly and call to the government to hasten the investigation.” Rilwan’s brother said.

The family also showed supported to the MDP’s statement calling for an independent investigation for the Rilwan and the murder of Dr. Afrasheem.

During the press conference today, Police arrived on scene and asked to clear the area. And they asked to remove the posters and the table and chairs being used for the press conference.

Rilwan’s family, the Police and other institutes have tried to find the missing journalist after he went missing on 8 August 2014. He was last seen on that night at the Hulhumalé ferry terminal.
