A young man fleeing the scene of an accident turned in to the Police

A young man who attempted to flee the scene after two motorcycles hit on the Bodu Magu at Maradhoo, Addu City has been turned in to the Police.

Police Media Official said that around 10:40 p.m. last night, the accident took place when a motorcycle being driven by a woman was hit from behind by another motorcycle. The woman’s knee was injured in the accident and the man’s motorcycle also received some damages says the Police.

The Media Official said that the woman’s motorcycle was hit by a motorcycle driven by an 18-year-old and he attempted to flee the scene.

But the young man was taken into Police custody with the help of the locals. The Police Media Official said that the young man was released after taking his statement.

Police said that the 18-year-old did not have a driving license.
