Young man involved in a traffic collision while attempting to flee the Police has died

One of the two people who sustained serious injuries in the dangerous traffic collision that occurred in Hulhumalé when a motorcycle attempting to flee the Police crashed into a car has died.

Hulhumalé Hospital and the Police have confirmed the death of the 22-year-old.

Director of the Hulhumalé Hospital, Ahmed Shakir told Sun Media tonight that the young man was dead on arrival. He said that the man had sustained major head trauma and other injuries to his body.

The second man on the motorcycle also sustained serious injuries. Director Shakir said that the second man has his hands and legs broken at two places and in the works of being transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

Police Media Official told Sun Media earlier tonight that the collision occurred around 9:05 p.m. tonight near the No. 133 flat on Asurumaahingun at Hulhumalé when a motorcycle attempting to flee the Police collided with a car.
