Names of the candidates for LGA sent to the Parliament

Names of the candidates for the empty seat at the Board of the Local Government Authority (LGA) have been sent the Parliament.

The report from the National Security Committee after researching the candidates for the LGA board says that they interviewed the nominees and checked their criminal history and outstanding debts.

The report says that candidates that score above 75 percent in their interview are eligible for the Board of LGA.

At the Parliament session on 16 June, the President of the Parliament said that 17 people applied for the empty seat at the Board of LGA.

The candidate who scored the highest among them is Ahmed Hassan, S. Hithadhoo. He scored 88.6 percent in the interview. The closes to him was Ahmed Saeed, Gn. Fuvamulah.

A seat at the board of LGA opened up when Sujaau Hussain resigned from his position.
