Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that the government will not be taking responsibility for the garbage being put on the streets of Malé.
Minister Muizzu sent out a tweet earlier tonight saying that the waste management project to help in preparation for Ramadan has now ended.

The waste management project was initiated last Sunday with the collaboration of the Housing Ministry, Environment Ministry, Maldives Police Service and other government companies.
The Minister of Housing tweeted tonight saying that because the streets are being kept clean, opposition are putting trash on different parts of the city.

There is a foul stench with large number of trash collected at different streets in Malé City.
