Maldive Gas distribution center opens at Vilimal

Maldive Gas has opened distribution center and has started gas delivery in Vilimalé.

The distribution center was opened by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Ziyad Baagir and the Managing Director of Maldive Gas, Abdulla Maumoon at a special ceremony.

With the supply unit opened in Vilimalé, Maldive Gas would be making free deliveries to the people in the district.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of Maldive Gas, Abdulla Maumoon said that Maldive Gas was using an agent to supply gas in the district. But there were a lot of delays up to three or four days.

MD Abdulla Maumoon said that he believes that like the people of Hulhumalé, the people of Vilimalé should also be able to get gas.

“We have been trying to find a land here for a long time. Because if it’s a place like this, there has to be a storage and such. We faced many challeges.” MD Maumoon said.

The Leader of the PPM’s Parliamentary Group and the MP for Vilimalé constituency, Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik also spoke at the ceremony saying that the people of Vilimalé district faced a lot of challenges to acquire gas. But with the combined effort of President Yamin, Maldive Gas and STO, from now on, the people of Vilimalé would get gas with ease.

The MD of Maldive Gas said that they would make doorstep delivery upon placing a call. The number for gas is 3325473. The number can be used to register a service use.
