15 days added to the remand of the people arrested for prostitution

Criminal Court has extended the remand period of the eight people arrested in Male’ last night for prostitution.

Police Media Official told Sun Media tonight that their remand was extended today.

Three women and five were arrested during a raid of M. Woodpecker at around 9:00 p.m. on last night. Aside from one local male, all others were foreigners.

Police said that four rooms in the house were searched during the raid, during which large quantities of cash in Maldivian Rufiyaa and foreign currency, and items used in sexual activity were seized.
