MNDF called in after one boat sinks and another starts sinking

MNDF Coast Guard has been called in after a boat sank near R. Dhuvaafaru and another already sinking near Ziyaaraiyfushi.

Information Officer of MNDF, Major Adnaan Mohamed told Sun Media today that reports of a boat sinking near R. Dhuvaafaru was reported this morning. He said that the boat was used to carry wood and at the time, there were five men onboard. MNDF said that when they arrived on scene, the people from the boat that sank were in a dinghy.

And another boat sinking near Ziyaaraiyfushi in Male’ atoll has also been reported. The Information Officer said that when the Coast Guard arrived on scene, they were pumping water from the boat.
