Housing Ministry has decided to remove the paving on Ameenee Magu and repave the road.
Speaking on SunTV’s “50 Minute” program, Minister of Housing, Dr. Mohamed Muiz said that the repaving would take place after leveling the road.
“We are thinking to start this after July 26 or Independent 50. So we can start the construction in August.” Dr. Muiz said.
Minister Muiz said that the surveys to level and repave Ameenee Magu have already been completed. He said that the repaving would be done by the Housing Ministry and that they have experienced staff.
He said that the stones for the repaving have been ordered and the Ministry staff would move forward when they arrive.
Minister Muiz said tonight that he hopes that the 1080 flats being constructed in Male’ would be completed within the year.
He said that he still hopes that the flats constructed by India’s TATA Company would still be completed on the deadline.
The project by TATA Housing in Male’ is being closely supervised, says Minister Muiz and that won’t allow them to delay any further.
“We are closely watching that project. We won’t allow them to delay the project.” Minister Muiz said.
