Jewelry shop in Shangri-La has been robbed

The jewelry shop on Shangri-La resort in Villingili has been robbed.

Police Media Official told Sun Media today that investigations are underway after the robbery of the jewelry shop on Shangri-La resort after removing the window case was to the Police around 10 a.m. No further details were given about the case.

No arrests have been made in the case so far.

Sources say that jewelry was stolen from the shop but there are no further details available from the resort as of yet.

While a theft has occurred in the resort, a resort staff from Shangri-La was arrested a month ago for misappropriation of USD 68,000 (MVR 1.04 million).

The Police Media Official said that they are investigation the misappropriation case.
