An Egyptian doctor working at the M. Muli hospital has been arrested for his involvement in a violent outburst with a local.
An official from the Muli hospital said that the outburst occurred when the doctor got involved in an issue between his child and a local.
In the outburst that took place yesterday around 6:30 p.m. the doctor chocked the local until he couldn’t breathe before letting go according to the hospital official. And he twisted the arm of the local as well.
The official from the hospital said that the doctor has been admitted to the hospital for a chest pain.
Police confirmed that the doctor has been taken into custody and said that they are providing protection to him from possible harm from the public.
The Egyptian doctor would complete his first year in the country at the end of June. He lives in the island with his wife and seven children.
