Two more people arrested in the assault on an officer after dragging him into a house

Two more people have been arrested regarding the assault on an officer who was dragged into a house on Friday night.

Police media official told Sun Media that a 33-year-old male and an 18-year-old woman were arrested last night with a court order. But he did not give any more details on the arrests.

While two people were arrested last night, a 34-year-old man was also arrested yesterday evening around 4 p.m.

Sources say that the injured police officer has been released after treatment at IGM hospital. He sustained a head injury aside from other minor injuries to his body.

While an officer on the street has been dragged into a house and attacked last night, another officer was assaulted by protestors at the opposition rally on 1 May and has been sent abroad for further treatment. And some of the suspects of the 1 May have been arrested.
