Civil Court rejects Hulhumal

Civil Court has rejected the case filed by former President Mohamed Nasheed regarding the judges appointed to preside over his case in Hulhumalé Court.

The court said that a case regarding the appointment of judges as advised by the Supreme Court, is not within its jurisdiction.

The State withdrew Nasheed’s case from Hulhumalé Court and filed it to Criminal Court, where he was found guilty of terrorism and sentenced to 13 years in prison.
