Velidhoo Job Fair opens with 228 job opportunities

Youth Ministry has opened a job fair in N. Velidhoo with 228 job opportunities and 25 internships to open the road to employment to the youth.

The Ministry said that in the job awareness fair for the youth, the fair would facilitate job seekers to meet employers and discuss the job market, submit applications and conduct interviews.

The two-day fair started yesterday offers employment in front office, guest relations, food and beverage, human resources, kitchen, nursing, laboratory, mechanical and electrical engineering, construction and transportation.

“This fair offers the opportunity for visitors to register with the employment registry and sign up to take part in the programs by the National Career Guidance Center to prepare the youth for job market.” The Ministry said.

Companies such as Fenaka Corporation, Maldives Road Development Corporation and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company are taking part in this fair. Institutes of the government such as National Library, Maldives Institute of Sports, Maldives Police Service and other institutes of the Noonu atoll are also taking part in this Job Fair.

The Velidhoo Job Fair is the fifth fair tartget to the atolls. Youth Ministry says that more fairs such as these would be held in the future.
