Suspect in UMET fire sentenced to 10 years in prison

The man who set fire to the office of UMET Construction has been sentenced to 10 years in prison .

Mohamed Aiman of S. Feydhoo was sentenced to 10 years in prison for setting a fire after robbing the office of UMET Constructions on the fifth floor of H. Lanchumeeduge on the August of 2013.

He was sentenced under Article B of the Maldivian Anti-Terrorism law.

Amin was found guilty this past January of the robbery with an accomplice. Aiman was sentenced to 75 months in prison while his accomplice, Simthan Ali was sentenced to nine months in prison.
