President Yameen to make state visit to Pakistan

President Abdulla Yameen will make a two-day state visit to Pakistan from 6 May 2015, the President’s Office has announced.

The President will be joined by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, as well as a high-level delegation that includes Speaker of Parliament Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed, ministers, and MPs.

During the visit, the President will call on President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain, and meet with Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Shareef.

President Yameen and Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef will lead official bilateral talks between senior delegations of the two countries.

The two countries will also enter into bilateral agreements covering sports, healthcare, education, and combating narcotic drugs, during the President's visit.
