Pick-up truck set alight in Mal

A pick-up truck parked near Raan’baa Restaurant in Malé has been set on fire.

The incident took place at around 3:30 a.m. on Friday.

Police said that the truck was damaged to some extent, but no one was hurt.

The fire, believed to be arson, was extinguished by police and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

The pick-up belongs to opposition groups and is used in political activities.
