Protest notice requested for a second time

Police have requested Adhaalath party to resubmit the “To End Cruelty” demonstration notice with the party’s council signatures.

Police requested it in a letter to the Leader of Adhaalath Party, Sheikh Imran as a reply to the demonstration notice sent to the police signed by Sheikh Imran Abdulla. Police have approved the demonstration for tomorrow.

The letter to the Leader of Adhaalath Party from the Police said that the information received about the demonstration has revealed that it would not go peacefully. But accepting the information in the letter to the Police by Sheikh Imran about the protest being a peaceful one, the Police would move forward.

While concerns about conflict in tomorrow’s protest still lingers, Police have requested that the Party council sign the letter taking responsibility for the demonstration instead of Sheikh Imran’s signature alone.
