Qasim: I did not fund tomorrow

Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Qasim Ibrahim has denied the allegations made against him by the Vice President of PPM and the Tourism Minister, Ahmed Adheeb saying that it was Qasim who funded the “May-Day” opposition protest.

Qasim denied the allegation in a tweet he sent out today saying that he did not fund the rally to be held tomorrow and PPM and Adheeb is telling a lie.

At a press conference with the PPM’s Parliamentary Group at Muliaage today, the Tourism Minister, Ahmed Adheeb said that VTV’s live coverage, the news and the words from the VP of Jumhooree Party proves that it is Qasim who is funding the opposition rally tomorrow.
