Department of Judicial Administration (JDA) has asked to inform them as soon as possible if any why atoll magistrates and court staff are visiting Male’ City.
A press release issued by the JDA tonight said they if an atoll magistrate or a staff of the court are in Male’, Hulhumale or Vilimale’, they want them to inform the JDA via a text message.
The numbers to be texted are 778-5864, 778-6365 and 778-4725 according to the press release.
The JDA has asked for information from the magistrates and court staff in Male’ via text message. Those include their full name, occupation, address in Male’ and a contact number and the purpose of visiting Male’.
The statement did not say as to why the JDA seek this information.
While the JDA has released such a statement, the Home Minister has decided to send case to the Anti-Corruption Commission regarding the Councilors coming to Male’ on government expenses to take part in the “May-Day” opposition protest demonstration this Friday.
