PG Office: Criminal Court has not accepted Jailam murder case

Prosecutor General’s (PG) Office has said that the case of Jailam Ahmed Shakir, who died after being stabbed on 21 February 2015, has not been accepted by Criminal Court.

PG Office said that the case was filed to court on 29 March 2015.

The reason for Criminal Court’s refusal to accept the case is unknown, and attempts to reach the court’s spokesperson on the phone have not been successful.

The State has charged three people with murder following Jailam’s death.

Jailam had been stabbed in 12 places on his body, and was pronounced dead upon arrival at ADK Hospital.
