Elections Commission: Four candidates in the Dhiggaru election

At the end of the application period, Election Commission has said that four candidates have applied for the empty MP seat for Dhiggaru constituents.

And official from the Elections Commission told Sun Media that the four candidates are the PPM candidate, Ahmed Faris Maumoon, MDP candidate, Ahmed Raazee and the Independent candidates Shameem Ali and the Vice President of the Local Government Authority (LGA), Moosa Naseer Ahmed.

Moosa Naseer Ahmed is a Meem Atoll Council member who belongs to PPM. He also submitted his name to take part in the PPM primaries for the Dhiggaru constituency before he retracted his name.

He is a former member of the Parliament.

The election for the MP for Dhiggaru constituency would be held on 6 June.
