Court gives remand period of ten days for Kendhoo arson suspect

The man arrested on suspicion of setting fire to two vessels at Baa Kendhoo harbour on Friday has been given a remand period of ten days by Kendhoo Court.

The suspect, Abdul Salman Yoosuf, 41, was arrested on Saturday and taken to court within 24 hours.

The owners of the vessels destroyed in the fire told Sun Online earlier that the losses could reach MVR 4.3 million.
