The Court hearings regarding the murder of Ali Shifan, M. Fairy Corner, has ended today.
Ali Shifan was murdered in front of the West Park Restaurant around 4:40 p.m. on 1 April 2012 by a group of people who came on four motorcycles who stabbed him with a sharp object. In the case of Shifan’s murder, Mohamed Asif, Razzan Abdul Rahman had their cases appealed at the High Court by the state.
The Criminal Court’s verdict of not guilty on those three people had been appealed at High Court and has previously declared that the hearings have ended.
But after the case was processed through a panel of five judges, another hearing was held today since one of the judges on the panel was replaced.
The verdict of “not guilty” on three people involved in the case was appealed at the High Court in July 2013.
