Farming program held in Kurendhoo

A training program in farming has been held in the island of Kurendhoo targeted to inspire interest of farming in the youth.

In a statement from the Agricultural Ministry today said that the program began last Sunday. And the program would last 10 days.

The Ministry said that the program teaches a profitable approach to home gardening. And trainings farming in water are given to the participants. The Ministry said that 18 women and 11 men are taking part in the program.

The Ministry of Agriculture said that programs like these helps to make a profit out of farming at home or on small lands and increases use of organic food.
