MDP has called for the release of the three protestors who were arrested in yesterday’s demonstration for disobeying police orders.
Speaking at a press conference today, the President of the MDP Youth Wing, Azmeel Ahmed raised concerns about the arrests made in the demonstration “ To Stop Cruelty” yesterday.
He said that the protest yesterday was a peaceful demonstration and two young men along with a minor were arrested.
“To state the reasons to end cruelty, yester it was a peaceful demonstration, so we condemn the the arrests of the young men in the demonstration.” Azmeel said.
The member of the MDP Youth Wing who took part in today’s news conference said that the government has bound the hands of the youth and an end would be brought to that on 1 May.
The opposition parties has called all the citizens of the country to come to Male’ City claiming that an end would be brought to cruelty on 1 May.
