Housing Ministry feeds the pigeons

The Housing Ministry has fed the pigeons at three different areas in Male’ by sending a staff to feed them.

The Ministry posted three pictures of a man wearing a ministry jacket on their Facebook page this evening with the post, “Feeding pigeons near Tsunami binaa, Artificial beach and Villimale' ferry terminal area by MHI staffs.”

The ministry has uploaded photos of feeding pigeons at a time where the ministry is facing criticism for prohibiting the feeding of pigeons at the Republic Square.

Regarding the criticism, the Minster of Housing, Dr. Mohamed Muiz told the press on Sunday that the pigeons would not be left to die.

Housing Ministry said that the feeding of pigeons at the Republic Square was prohibited to keep the area clean.
