Ice plant established in Faafu Nilandhoo

Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has established an ice plant, with a capacity of 25 tons per day, in Faafu Nilandhoo.

MIFCO Deputy Manager Ahmed Hashim said that the MVR 3 million project will solve the problem of ice for fishermen, and improve the quality of the fish.

Ice will be sold to fishermen at MVR 1,000 per ton.

MIFCO established an ice plant in Gaafu Dhaalu Fiyoari last week, and Hashim said that efforts will begin next week to establish one in Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhdhoo.
