Breast cancer screening program held at Kulhudhuffushi and Dhidhdhoo

Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM), in association with FeM Surgery and Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital has started a breast cancer screening and cancer awareness program in the Maldives.

CSM said that the information and screening program is aimed for Haa Alifu. Dhidhdhoo and Haa Dhaalu. KUlhudhuffushi.

In the program, CDM says, information sessions would be held for locals and the students past grade eight.

While the program started in Kilhudhuffushi last Wednesday and Thursday, over 500 locals and students have taken part in the program. CSM said that 450 people took part in the screening program.

The awareness programs have started in Dhidhdhoo as of yesterday.

CSM said that a similar project was held successfully in the past year as well.
