Dunya reassures commitment to addressing issues faced by Bangladeshi expats

The new High Commissioner of Bangladesh Rear Admiral Kazi Sarwar Hossain has paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon.

During the meeting, Dunya reassured the Maldivian government’s commitment to addressing the issues faced by Bangladeshi expatriates.

She also noted with appreciation the contributions to the development of the Maldives by the large community of Bangladesh expatriates.

At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning, the Foreign Minister and the High Commissioner also discussed ways of further strengthening and diversifying existing ties between the two countries, including enhancing trade relations.
