President Maumoon Meets with the DRP leader

The Acting Leader of DRP, Colonel Mohamed Nasheed has met with the former President, and the President of the governing party, PPM, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom today.

President Maumoon Tweeted a picture from the meeting and thanked Colonel Nasheed for meeting with him.

After the meeting, the official DRP Twitter account sent out a tweet saying that the meeting with the former President was a success and various issues were discussed in the meeting.

The second Political Party created in country, DR, was created by the former president Maumoon Abdul Gayoom. President Maumoon left the leadership of the party after he lost the first multi-party presidential election. And after the factions created in the party after Maumoon reemerged in the political arena, President Maumoon left the party and created the current governing party, PPM.
